HOW is a six-session program focused on building skills in mindfulness and bringing more outdoor time into your life. This program follows the model of our highly successful Women's Wellness programs, conducted in midcoast Maine for over ten years. Open to people of all genders and experience levels.

Two-hour Happier Outside Strategy session
Do you want to spend more time outside, but you just can’t figure out how? Are there questions swirling, like:
What activities should you do that bring you joy?
Where should you go?
Will you be safe?
How long do you need to be outside for you to start feeling awesome?
What gear do you need to bring more activities into your life? Where you do get it? Do you have to spend lots of money?
How can you find people to go with?
This is a 2-hour strategic planning session, focused on how to bring more outdoor experiences into your life, based on research into habit formation and the health benefits of spending mindful time in the outdoors. COST: $250
Strategy Session includes a post-meeting written report with a summary assessment, list of action items, and referrals.
A FULL DAY ONLINE RETREAT, WHEREVER YOU ARE
Join us online for a full day of mindful movement, reflection, and guided activities. We will offer activities for rejuvenation, connection, and intention setting, in the comfort of “wherever you are”, in the moment. This might be at home, at your favorite getaway location, at an Air BNB somewhere… All you will need is access to the internet, a quiet space where you can focus, and 8 hours of time to commit to the experience. We recommend that you treat this as a silent retreat, the best you can.
MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
Multiple opportunities to practice mindful meditation will be offered. Beginners and experienced mindful folks are welcome to participate in these guided activities, and no prior experience is necessary. Some of the time will be spent sitting, and some will include mindful movement.
OUTSIDE TIME
We will provide guidance for you to spend some of the time outside during the day. We’ll be sharing a link to a questionnaire so you can let us know what is available to you (so we can cater our suggestions on the day)… you may have a neighborhood, a nature preserve, a beach, a back yard, a porch… it doesn’t matter, we’ll help you find ways to explore the outdoors in new ways.
ARTS AND CRAFTS SESSION
Tapping into our creativity is a wonderful way to connect with our truest intentions. We’ll get our creative juices flowing with a couple of art and craft projects, themed to Intention.
GATHERING WITH OTHERS, and personal time
We will have opportunities for personal reflection, for “me” time, as well as facilitated discussion and themed activities.
GENTLE ATTENTION AT MEALTIMES
You may choose to share your snacks and lunch with us in a mindful way - we’ll provide some tips and ideas on how to bring mindfulness into your meal preparation and consumption.
